Terms of Use
Last updated May 2026
These terms cover your use of this website and the programs Green Silicon Valley runs. We've kept them short and readable on purpose. By using the site or joining a program, you agree to what's below. If you're under 18, you should review these with a parent, guardian, or teacher.
Using the site
Use the site lawfully and in good faith. Don't disrupt it, try to break into it, scrape it abusively, submit fraudulent or impersonating form data, or use it to harm anyone.
The content on this site (our writing, designs, and brand) belongs to GSV or the people we credit. You're welcome to read, link to, and share it, but don't copy it wholesale or pass it off as your own.
Programs and accounts
Accounts are invitation-only or created with a workshop or program code. You're responsible for keeping your login secure and for making sure the information you give us is accurate.
When you join a specific program (teaching, mentoring, the pitch competition, the learning platform, or a chapter), you also agree to that program's terms and to our Code of Conduct. We can pause or end your access if you break the Code of Conduct or these terms.
Projects, grants, and your work
You keep ownership of the projects you build. When you submit a project, pitch, or other work to GSV, you give us permission to review it, and to feature it (with credit) to share what our community is building. Tell us if you'd rather we didn't.
Project grants and recognition go to real, honest effort. Misrepresenting your age, identity, or work can mean losing a grant or your spot in a program.
Donations
Donations are voluntary and, except where we state otherwise, non-refundable. Green Silicon Valley is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, so your gift may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. We'll send a receipt you can keep for your records.
If you believe a donation was made in error, email us and we'll do our best to make it right.
The basics, and changes
We provide this site and our programs as they are and do our honest best, but we can't guarantee everything will always be available or error-free, and to the extent the law allows we aren't liable for indirect or incidental losses from using the site.
We may update these terms as the organization grows. When we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page, and continuing to use the site means you accept the update. Questions about any of this go to greensiliconvalley27@gmail.com.
