Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Green Silicon Valley website and platform (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
Description of Service
Green Silicon Valley provides a platform for coordinating environmental STEM presentations between high school volunteer teams and elementary/middle schools. The Service includes a public website, volunteer management tools, and administrative dashboards.
User Accounts
Access to the internal platform requires an invitation from a GSV executive. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to update it as necessary.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for its intended purposes. You may not: use the Service to harass, harm, or impersonate others; attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data; upload malicious content or code; or use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws.
Volunteer Obligations
Volunteers agree to: complete all required forms before participating in presentations, follow the GSV Code of Conduct, represent GSV professionally when interacting with schools, and comply with all instructions from their assigned operations intern and the executive team.
Intellectual Property
Content created by GSV (including presentation templates, training materials, and platform features) remains the property of Green Silicon Valley. Volunteers retain ownership of their original presentation content but grant GSV a license to use, modify, and distribute it for educational purposes.
Donations
Donations made through the Service are processed by third-party payment providers. All donations are final and non-refundable unless otherwise required by law. Green Silicon Valley is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit; donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
Limitation of Liability
Green Silicon Valley provides the Service "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid to us, if any.
Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify registered users of significant changes. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may request account deletion at any time by contacting us.
