Is my donation tax-deductible?: Yes. Green Silicon Valley is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Stripe emails your receipt right after checkout.
Where does the money go?: Kits (the $40 parts list above), grants to student builds (up to $1,500, paid half on signing and half at a working demo), and the costs of running free workshops. Nobody draws a salary, so a dollar in goes to a build, not a paycheck.
Do you see or store my card?: No. Checkout runs on Stripe's hosted page. Your card details never touch our servers.
Can my employer match my gift?: Often, yes. Check the match box in the form and tell us where you work, and we help you claim it. A match is free extra money for students.
Can I give monthly?: Yes. The form has a monthly toggle at the top, with presets at $10, $25, and $100 and a custom box. How monthly giving works.
