GSV Code of Conduct

Last updated May 2026 · Version 2026-05 · Everyone at GSV agrees to this

GSV runs on teenagers teaching and building with other teenagers, often a continent apart. That only works if everyone here is safe, respected, and accountable. By joining, you agree to the following.

  1. 1

    Treat everyone with respect

    • No harassment, bullying, discrimination, or hate of any kind, in any channel, ever.
    • Disagree with ideas, never attack people. Keep it kind, especially across cultures and languages.
    • What students share in the program stays in the program. Don't screenshot or repost others without consent.
  2. 2

    Keep students safe

    • Keep conversations on GSV channels. Don't move a student to a private number, DM, or app off-platform.
    • Never ask a student for personal contact details, money, photos, or to meet in person without a parent and GSV in the loop.
    • Mentoring and teaching are about the work. Romantic or sexual contact with anyone you mentor or teach is never allowed.
  3. 3

    Be honest and reliable

    • Show up to the sessions you commit to, or give notice. People are counting on you.
    • Don't misrepresent who you are, your age, or your work. Grant money and credit go to real, honest effort.
    • Use GSV tools and funds only for GSV's mission.
  4. 4

    Speak up

    • If something feels wrong, unsafe, or crosses a line, report it. Email greensiliconvalley27@gmail.com or tell any staff member.
    • Reporting a concern in good faith never gets you in trouble. We follow up on every report.
    • In an emergency, contact your local emergency services first, then tell us.
