How It Works
Simple for Everyone
Whether you're a teacher looking for engaging content or a student ready to make a difference, getting started is easy.
For Teachers
Request a free presentation in 4 simple steps
Submit a Request
Fill out our short teacher request form with your school info, grade level, topic preferences, and preferred schedule.
Takes about 5 minutes. Domestic and international forms available.
Get Matched
We match you with the nearest volunteer group based on your location. If no group is nearby, you join our waitlist and get notified when one forms.
For international schools, we schedule virtual presentations via Zoom or Google Meet.
Confirm the Details
Your assigned volunteer team reaches out to confirm the date, time, topic, and any special requests. Everything is coordinated through your ops intern.
We work around your schedule — no disruption to your curriculum.
Presentation Day
A trained team of high school volunteers arrives at your school and delivers a 45–60 minute interactive presentation with a hands-on activity.
All materials provided at no cost. Students take home their activity projects.
For Volunteers
From sign-up to presentation day in 6 steps
Sign Up as a Group
Form a group of 1–7 students from your high school and fill out the volunteer sign-up form. Solo signups welcome — we'll match you with a group.
You'll need a parent/guardian to sign the consent forms.
Complete Required Forms
Download and sign 5 required forms (liability waiver, photo release, volunteer agreement, parental consent, code of conduct). Upload them through the platform.
All forms must be completed before you can begin preparing.
Choose Your Topic & Prepare
Pick an environmental topic, choose a hands-on activity, and build your presentation slides. Your ops intern reviews everything and provides feedback.
Topics include solar energy, recycling, water conservation, climate science, and more.
Practice & Get Ready
Schedule practice meetings with your ops intern to rehearse your presentation and refine your delivery. Gather or order your activity materials.
We provide meeting scheduling, presentation templates, and kit purchasing support.
Present!
Visit your matched school and deliver your presentation to real students. Engage them with your activity and see the impact firsthand.
You'll earn verified community service hours for PVSA and other awards.
What's Next?
After your presentation, you can choose to present again with a streamlined process, or even start a GSV chapter at your own school.
Return volunteers skip the forms and go straight to topic selection.
